The Sheffield duo Moloko is the fruit of Irish-born
Roisin Murphy's bid to pick up Mark Brydon at a 1994 do
with the famous lines, 'Do you like my
tight sweater? See how it fits my body.' Mark heard a
melody in that and soon afterwards he and Roisin went to a
studio to record an album.

Mark Brydon (Sunderland) worked in the music industry
long before
Moloko was born. He produced Krush's House Arrest and
remixed music by Eric B & Rakim.

Roisin Murphy (Wicklow, Ireland) was a newcomer to the
music business.

The band's name is borrowed from Anthony Burgess' classic
novel 'The Clockwork Orange', in which it means either
'milk' or 'method of narcotic indigestion'.

In 1995 the band recorded their first single titled
'Where Is The What
If The What Is More...

    Review about Moloko

    Cold sadness? | Reviewer: theshazo
------ About the song It's Nothing performed by Moloko

I don't think there is a cold sadness in her voice...actually I think the lyrics have a feeling of cold sadness but Roisin and co. have used it ironically and made it a very warm...kind of in the mood for love song, don't you think?

tight sweater dance | Reviewer: Anonymous

moloko at its best | Reviewer: marcin
------ About the song Forever More performed by Moloko

it's a shame their album Statues proved to be their last studio offering. Forever More is a great dance-beat-driven song with melancholic lyrics and a great video. Moloko have always been great at creating fantastic music with a cuting edge.

Out there addiction | Reviewer: Dee
        ------ About artist/band Moloko

Never has the lyrics and music of a band captivated me to the point where I have become an addict to their sound. Not a day goes by without my 'MOLOKO' fix.

I can only hope and pray the group will collabarate again to ensure that all addicts out there never run out their daily dose.

    cold sadness | Reviewer: gabi
------ About the song It's Nothing performed by Moloko

the voice of this girl and the cold sadness of this song are nothing but a masterpiece.

    Cinematic | Reviewer: Stephen
------ About the song Should've been could've been performed by Moloko

I love this song. It should have a video..or be in a movie...to accompany a rehash of very tramatic events and betrayals...
