Mississippi Queen Lyrics - Vanishing Point
Review The Song (1)
Mississippi Queen, You know what I mean
Mississippi Queen, She taught me everything
Way down around Vicksburg, around Louisiana way
lived a Cajun Lady, they call the Mississippi Queen
You know she was a dancer. She moved better on wine
While the rest of them dudes was a gettin' their kicks
Brother beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine
Mississippi Queen, If you know what I mean
Mississippi Queen, She taught me everything
This lady she asked me, if I would be her man
You know dat I told her, I'd do what I can
To keep her lookin' pretty, buy her dresses that shine
While the rest of them dudes was makin' their bread
Brother beg your pardon, I was loosin' mine
--- Lead Guitar ---
You know she was a dancer. She moved better on wine
While the rest of them dudes was gettin' their kicks
Brother beg your pardon, I was gettin' mine
Yeah, Mississippi Queen

This song rocks! | Reviewer: Badstink | 7/15/2004
This rather short song is from a group called Mountain, not Vanishing Point, and it really rocks! It's a classic from the 1970's and is one of the best songs ever to use a cowbell.
