Is that people should be able to feel what they feel, that they shouldn't have to feel extra bad/guilty about feeling sad.. And the happy people don't necessarily have to be the plastic people, they're just mentioning different types of people in that room and that no one there can truly judge you for what your feeling, because you are the only person who knows what's real and what's not.. That is what this song is about.. It's a protest against people being forced to live behind a mask.. That if you're not happy, cheery 24/7 you're an emo or at least you're looked down at.. The melody is great, it's so catchy! I do agree about the lyrics though. 'Plastic people' aren't dying inside, it's the others who are dying inside. Plastic people may not be individual or original, and they may not know what everyone else is feeling, but they are happy, which everyone should be.
