Once upon a time in galaxy far away..in a place called new york-there were four beings-two girls(kitty & Lyn Z),a boy(Steve),and a ferret(Jimmy)...they got together and decided they wanted to start a band...and thus began the neverending road to pure stupidity. Mindless Self Indulgence is so fucked up it'll make your head spin and then do the hokey pokey! Mindless Self Indulgence is what you will be called when the music that you make has no chance in hell of getting you laid,or of making you seem cool in the eyes of your p.c. restrained,cookie cutter catagory demanding,humorless peers. It is also a four piece band of co-ed punks from N.Y.C.,whose name manifests itself during their live shows. Their music is a hybrid of Atari driven(the computer not the group) More... I'm not a music critic, but I know what I like. Now, saying that, I've heard both MSI and Zep. I was never fond of Zep, but its painfully obvious when you listen to this song (and all other MSI songs) it's one big joke. Not only do I listen to their music, I check out the actual bands too. Don't jump to conclusions. These guys know what they're getting into when they speak so openly about what they do, and know there there will be ignorant people out there to judge them and comment and bash them. Now, as I stated above, I don't like rap. -Most- rap, but saying I hate it all is like being a music racist. I gave MSI a try. I'll admit some songs I can't stand (ex: Tornado, Revenge, Thank God, ect.) but that is personal opinion. As for the songs like this (or Faggot, Shut Me Up, Bomb This Track, ect.) there is nothing else I can find like it. Is so unique and in all their own style. I like that in a band. I love that about MSI. And I respect them and I laughed when I heard this song, because I understood what he meant by it. He's not just randomly saying he hates Jimmy Page, guys. There's reasons. With all due respects to Jimmy, however. I just don't like Zep. True emo and screamo bands will usually say their genre is hardcore or punk, because emo is a branch of punk and you're considered a poseur if you say you're an emo. Most stereotypes say you're a poseur if you run around screaming "I'm emo!" or "I'm punk, bitch!". Deny it if you don't want to be a poseur. Although, if someone asked if you were goth then there is an exception. You may answer "yes" if someone asks. Or you could say "no" and laugh at their bewildered expression.
