Mike jones was born and raised in Houston, Texas. While growing up he always looked at the future while building the first blocks towards his future success in life. Jone's first dream was basketball, but since the oppertunity didnt a rise he realized the only way to make money is to become his own boss. Jones began to hustle by gathering up enough money to launch Ice Age Entertainment to pursue his second love: rapping.

After the label was launched and studio was up and ready to go, Jones was trying to keep the costs down. He ran into a problem of finding producers for creating a beat as they would ask who he was and he would say 'Mike Jones' hence the now famous slogan Who? Mike jones.

Time after that he began to distribute and promote his music by releasing it to the DJs and clubs. The attention gathered from this reached to the owner of swisha House and Jones was signed. Micheal Watts the owner of Swisha House also has Slim Thug and Paul Wall signed to the label.
