Muse Micro Cuts Lyrics

Last updated: 07/16/2011 11:00:00 AM

Hands are red with your blame
Megaphone screaming my name
Whimpers someone I should've loved
Souls weeping above

I've seen
What you're doing to me
Destroying puppet strings
To our souls

Micro waves me insane
A blade cuts into your brain
Sounds like forks on a plate
Blackboard scratched with hate

I've seen
What you're doing to me
Destroying puppet strings
To our souls

Love this song | Reviewer: Mariehill | 7/15/11

I absolutely love this song, it sounds so angry and screechy, in a good way, it's brilliant I can't get enough of it I listen it over and over and over , one of my favorite by muse. Mus e are amazzzing!!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh | Reviewer: J | 5/27/11

What an amazing song, Muse is so powerful I can always find a song of theirs to suit my mood. They were such a polished act live and this song was my favourite, the most excentric, operatic and arty but still kind of hardcore. Some of their songs can give me the chills when he hits those crazy notes. It's cliche but I have to say their older stuff is my favourite, it just has an amazing raw element to it.

I kinda interperted it differently.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/25/11

I thought it was about cutting. Cutting yourself because of someone else and knowing that they are reason why you are doing it.The person that is reason is also probably hurting themselves and it may be the reason. And that there is another person they should have paid attention to.. Just what it sounded like..

this song is about how the entertainment industry | Reviewer: leka | 5/5/10

this song is about the music and entertainment industry, what they do to their artist and how they control them and their art to enchant like snakes to the public..manipulation, energy, colors, waves.. brain washing etc

Montreaux Jazz Festival 2002 | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/25/10

Montreaux Jazz Festival 2002... Awesome performance! Though I consider Citizen Erased their best song, and they always put some great shows when they play live, they kick some ass playing this one... I hardly can think of a better live performance... theirs or anyone else's... Awesome performance!!

Blaine???? WTH????? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/3/10

First, its not BLAINE its obviously BLADE!!! the song is about this dream that matt had...there were BLADES(not "blaines"!)swinging from the sky...hence the lyrics "A blade cuts in your brain". Matt said this in an interview. If you do not understand the meaning of the lyrics, it can seem like a very sad song. But its not. Its all a dream...

UNREAL! | Reviewer: Sambio | 3/28/09

Matt kicks it to a new level with this one, and the band is just a half-step on his heels. MY GOODNESS! The intensity is almost equals the sheer agony and emotion of this track. If you have the honor to see it performed LIVE from the floor, YOU will be chilled and moved. It is an amazing three-and-a-half minute ride.

Blaine takes the place as a name of cities in many different states across the US. Obviously, Blaine wouldn't have fit in the lyrics, but if it were the first time a person had listened to the song, they could've misinturpreted Brain as being "Blaine." Other than that, Mircro Cuts was one of the first songs I listened to, that was by MUSE. I love this song, and Matt does an excellent job with the vocals. :)

Amazing, powerful song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/18/08

This is one of my favorite Muse songs, the Hullabaloo version is so great. Matt's great voice adds intensity and a great feeling to the song, which makes it so powerful in a way that I can't explain. I think Matthew Bellamy, along with Thom Yorke, has one of the BEST voices in this time. Both of them are geniuses...they're great!!
