But within a short space of time I feel sad for this generation of ours,because whenever I look around I find no inspiring songs like it were in the past. How I wish I was born in those past generations,but thank God I'm part of this generation;maybe I'm destined to bring back inspiration into the world of music.

On the 18th May when i painfully lost my dear mother who was also my only family left, i thought all was lost, i had cried always until i heard this song. It has really given me some hope though i'm yet to lean on somebody. May be this is my share of the pain and sorrow. God bless u Mich for this showpiece

I recently needed urgent help from the paramedics. It took me to put down my pride and be vulnerable, to get beyond what people might think and just make the call. That encounter changed my life. I know that the Lord above was watching over me that day, not even a month ago, and sent His ministering angels tomy rescue. He sent me someone to listen to me, to show kindness and non-judgement.

I am going to an awards ceremony for these special people who serve and save lives every day. I am going to sing this song. Although I love the version done by Stephen Hill on the Gaither Homecoming music, I love how Michael has arranged this version of Bill wither's song.

Michael has such energy but he captures the depth of the words of this song and it carries over into the heart and soul of us who listen to it. it is a song that speaks of overcoming adversity, trials and pain, with the help of another. We all need somebody to lean on. For me, that is Jesus Christ, but he used special people to reach me, when others could not see me. I called and he answered and He gave me His hand, through them. "There is a Friend Who sticks closer than a brother".
