Awesome! | Reviewer: Jimmy | 8/24/12
Gotta love the old school metal sound. Reminds me of early Slayer from around the same time. WTF happened to them? Especially the Load garbage? Anyway, amazing considering this album was recorded nearly 30 years ago. I'd take my hat off if I was wearing one to these guys.
Tod is a dumb ass | Reviewer: Teh Judas | 12/5/09
They didn't have Dave Mustaine for this album fucktard... He was already gone before they started recording. He wrote 6 out of the 10 songs on the album, but they were all recorded with Kirk Hammett. So go suck a D and stop being gay.
metal! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/20/07
Metallica's best album. I never thought much of them before (always been a die hard maiden fan) but this album proves to be one of the top 5 best metal records of all time. Every song has it's own style. although Blackened is an awesome song i usually go for this disc before any other metallica disc.

what Metallica should be | Reviewer: Tod | 7/17/07
This album is nothing but pure passion for metal, completely untouched by greed for money or fame. They say a band's first album is it's best, I definitely think this holds true for Metallica. Don't get me wrong, RtL, MoP and AJfA are all in my top 10%, but this album is the bitch queen of all metal albums. Plus, they had Dave Mustaine. It pisses me off that the biography doesn't say anything about this album and barely mentions Mustaine. Every time I listen to this album I'm always disappointed afterwards when I image how good they could have been if they stayed with metal and didn't sell out to pop rock. If you've listened to this album and their new stuff and still think they didn't sell out, then we'll just have to agree to disagree. I just hate it when people automatically defend them because they like their new crap but haven't even listened to the old.
I agree^ | Reviewer: leodeth | 5/15/07
I fucking agree with you Steroidman!!! this is a fucking amazing album. "Jump in the fire" and "No remorse" were my personal favs for this album. any true metallica fan should buy it NOW
