A former stick up kid who spent nearly nine years of his life behind bars, Max B is currently out on a Hip Hop record-setting $1.5 million bail. Honing his rap skills while serving an eight-year bid from 1997 to 2005, Max would escape the bleak reality of prison life by smothering himself in music. It was behind the G wall that Biggavel perfected his craft, circulating tapes that became favorites throughout the penitentiary building. Max B's long time friend and manager Mike Bruno passed a demo along to Diplomats Capo Jim Jones in 2005, a collaboration was promptly arranged. The chemistry between the two fellow Harlemites was evident on standout hits such as "G's Up, Ho's Down," off Jones' Harlem: Diary of a Summer album, and ushered in a new era of prosperity for Jim Jones. In return, Max became the 1 draft pick for Jones' Byrd Gang group, which was formed as part of a Warner/Asylum joint venture. Max has since parted ways with Jim Jones and it's embarking on his solo musical path. The first step towards waviness can only come through comprehending the triumvirate that Biggaveli represents. Not unlike the trinity of The Father, The Son & The Holy Ghost, Max B is the embodiment of the best elements of Biggie, Tupac, and Jay-Z, hence Biggaveli. “I got that Tupac, Makaveli, ride, ride on my enemies to the death, I got this swag when it comes to talking about these hoes, droppin’ them big blows, that came from Biggie. Then I got the skills of an MC, that’s natural. That comes in my Jigga form,” Max explained. “I just put ‘em all together.”
