Who the hell are you to tell me,
What to do, why to do, why bother
Leech in a mask of virtue
Such waste, to ever think of you again
Hey Judas, your Christess was our love
Hit and run, your will be done
Never sorry, never wrong
Master Passion Greed
Master Passion Greed
"Hello. How are you?
Let me explain one thing.
All for her and more for me
Why is it so hard to see?
I see no sense in doing this,
Not enough for me,
I fuck up everything but let me explain"
The only reason I really like this song is because, strangely, it reminds me of a character from a book series.
Other than that... eh. I don't really like it -- it just fits that one character perfectly, and that's the only reason I listen to it.

Listen all of you,Nightwish is not attacking Tarja with this song, this song speaks about Tarja's husband Marcelo, they love Tarja, and them fired her couse of Marcelo, only song that speaks about Tarja is Bye Bye Beautiful, and Master Passion Greed speaks about Marcelo..rylics:
Seek her
Seduce her
Tame her
Blame her
Feast on it all
Seek her
Seduce her
Tame her
Blame her
Have her
Kill her
Obviusly that word HER is Tarja, and they think that Marcelo has blamed, seduced, killed her....Understand that is all true...Tarja is best singer for me,but Anette is great to,with pop voice,uncomparable...Say hello to all Nightwishers from Serbia !!!!!

I love Marko, and i've liked everything he sang, but this is awful! The poetry is gone, I can write better things than this, the music is so not-nightwish. Don't get me wrong i like changes but i think this is little too much for me. In the end Tuomas is going to kick Anette, he already said it in MetalHammer i think, so the sooner he does it the better Nightwish are going to be
I think that Tuomas has been the one to suffer, and the one to ever constantly create and perfect, and the one to bring tears and passion out of the void. Switching to Annette and having an even greater success than before is simply proof that the music essence is within him and only small crumbs may be attributed to the singer. Even so, I strongly disagree this song is about Tarja. If anything, she and her husband only provided a trigger for writing about ages old human fault, about the sad story of never changing misery that kills the creator, which is the underlying theme of the entire album.
why attak tarja | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/18/09
i don't like this song.. i have loved the tarja era, and still love tarja in her solo carear, but nightwish have been really awfull in the lyrics of some song in this new album, they are attaking tarja, it is they who fired her, and now just attak her all the time yet telling the fans to forget all about it.. i still think they are great but this albm is being really horrible to her, this is worse what she did.
Omg the song is great, lyrics are just amazing!! I can see that you are always "fighting" about who is better: Tarja or Anette. They are both FANTASTIC... In their own way... Tarja has a great voice, an opera voice, wich is amazing, and Anette has a great voice too, she has kinda (as you all said) a "pop" voice. The two of them just cannot be compared: they are too perfect to be compared...

I found Nightwish after they changed singers. I personally like Anette in this scence as an opera voice over top of this stuff would sound...well bad, but I agree she was good with the songs they did when she sang (like Nemo!) Anette could never pull off the stuff Tarja can and Tarja can never pull off the stuff Anette can, I agree Tarja is an amazing singer but...
Read the lyrics properly... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/1/08
Seriously, IMO, this song isn't the bullshit you're speaking about. Yeah, it is very different and aggressive compared to their previous songs when Tarja was still around, but if you read the lyrics properly, there is a sense of guilt within the song itself.
"With awakening the tears will begin
To my everlasting shame silence took me" is obvious enough.
"Greed, your master passion
I feed the mouth that bites me" might be a more subtle indicator of how kicking Tarja from the band could've caused a backlash in the band, perhaps due to "greed" or whatever.
Even the song itself has a hint of despair and sadness in it despite its overwhelming heavy feel. So, really, don't bloody judge a song on its obvious points or language. I know fuck is a strong word, but it isn't used in an offensive manner in the first place.
about masterpiece's review | Reviewer: gosiak | 4/17/08
but how many of us sing in famous bands...? we can't compare it. anette has quite good voice, but with no doubts tarja is MUCH better... however anette has brought something new to nightwish band, their climate and atmosphere and this new thing is not worthless or awful.
Masterpiece | Reviewer: Empathize | 2/23/08
This song is definitely a climax of the heaviest influences in Nightwish music. It's like the highest point in it all, and is perfection. To the ones missing Tarja, her Winter Storm is out there, waiting for you, beautiful, poetic and commercial :p . Real poetry is given by true, strong feelings, not by beautiful and imaginative words and sceneries. So this is what I call poetry. And this is one of the few really heavy songs of Nightwish, they still have an extraordinary variety on their latest album. I find it the most complex they have ever done, with the greatest range of mixed emotions, sounds and styles. It's tremendously good.
