My Life | Reviewer: Ron Shepherd | 10/23/09
This is probably the realest song she has ever written and sang. There have been plenty of hits by this beautiful sister, but this is that joint which makes most people shiver when they listen to it because it's just that special.
My Life Is A Classic Album... | Reviewer: J. Mo | 8/13/08
Straight to the point- "My Life" is pivotal. It is Mary's finest work. All chicks in R&B have yet to match the realness, the rawness, the timelessness, the urgency of Mary's songs on this cd. From the first song it is a headbanger. Hip-hoppers and Rhythm-swingers alike appreciate this cd because Mary brings elements of both to the table: She melts pain, love, and swagger into one pot of urban swing. She cries on this one and it is felt on every track. No fakeness. All straight-to-the-point desperation, she sings what others are afraid to.... you get the point. No album collection is complete without "My Life". It's that real.
