Review about Martha Wainwright songs
She didn't write it! | Reviewer: Edith Folta
------ About the song There Ain't No Sweet Man That's Worth The Salt Of My Tears performed by Martha WainwrightThis is an old jazz number performed and recorded in the 1920's by the Paul Whiteman Orchestra with Bing Crosby as vocalist and Bix Beiderbecke on cornet. It's a fabulous song but Martha didn't write it: she's only doing a cover. Check out the original on YouTube!
Better heard than read | Reviewer: Thom Hasi
------ About the song B.M.F.A. performed by Martha WainwrightBrilliant composition as performed. The sweetness and clarity of her voice perfectly transitioning to and articulating her rage. But then the break, and the regain in composure. Self-control regained (if ever really lost), and triumph over the situation she finds herself in.
