------ About the song Heard It In A Love Song performed by Marshall Tucker Band

I know EXACTLY what you mean Arturo. Sometimes a song can , not only make you remember how you felt at a particular moment in your life, but it can almost make you smell the humidity of a rainy afternoon or feel the chill of a December night. Great comment. Right on target

------ About the song Midnight Promises performed by Marshall Tucker Band

This was written by Toy Caldwell. Toy, and his brother Tommy Caldwell, were founding members of the MTB, but this song was written after Tommy had died and Toy formed the Toy Caldwell Band in the late 1980s, with Pic Pickens, Tony Heatherly, and Mark Burrell. It was released on an album named "The Toy Caldwell Band" on Cabin Fever Records

------ About the song Heard It In A Love Song performed by Marshall Tucker Band

I was a teenager when this song was released back in the 70's, learning about girls, love and life. That was a time when music was so pure, so new. Sometimes when listening to an old song, you actually can remember a "feeling" as much as the music itself. This is one of those songs for me. When I listen to it, I can actually remember how it felt to be a teenager in the 70's. Difficult to explain, but for those of you who have experienced it...you know what I mean. Is the word deja-vu?

------ About the song Desert Skies performed by Marshall Tucker Band

I used to play in a original/cover band in the late 1970's and this was one of our cover songs....Marshall Tucker Band is without a doubt, one of the greatest bands ever and the way they can make you actually feel like you are out on the trail during the song.

------ About the song Bob Away My Blues performed by Marshall Tucker Band

This may be my favorite MTB song, and that's saying a lot. They had so many great songs to have never made the critical acclaim that they deserved. It took me back to a more pleasant time when life was more simple. How nice I'd be to find that river, sit under that shade tree and let that cork Bob Away My Blues. Back when I had this experience I was too young to have the blues and now days we're to busy, but I think I'll put it on my TO DO list.

------ About the song Bob Away My Blues performed by Marshall Tucker Band

This is truly a classic song that has endured the test of time. With so many artist making new cuts of old classics (and some not so classic) it's surprising that someone hasn't picked this one up.

Bob Away My Blues is a tremendous "Feel Good" tune. It speaks volumes to anyone who gave up country life in an effort to make a better living for themselves and their families.

------ About the song Take The Highway performed by Marshall Tucker Band

Had not heard this song in a couple of decades, but I bought and received the Anthology for Christmas. I had forgotten how incredible these guys are! I've only listened to the first 3 tracks so far, but was flooded with memories and the same thrill I always get listening to MTB. Can't wait to hear the rest.

------ About the song Blue Ridge Mountain Sky performed by Marshall Tucker Band

This song was my favorite Tucker tune when I was a teenager, and the steel guitar solo brought images of a peaceful wilderness to my mind. The first time I really listened closely to it, it almost brought a tear to my eye. Just beautiful.

------ About the song AB's Song performed by Marshall Tucker Band

I spend years looking for this song, and wondering what it was, after hearing it once (sounded like John Prine, maybe...). All the time it was hiding out as the last song on The Marshall Tucker Band's first album. It was surely worth the wait.
