MAROON’s sound offers not only a heavyweight mix of brutal
hardcore infused with metal-riffs, but also displays the
band’s political awareness and involvement in an
alternative life-style. Nordhausen, Germany’s vegan
straight edge five-piece formed in early 1998 with heavy
influences from new school as well as straight edge bands
like Earth Crisis, Morning Again and Despair, and combined
these influences with their love for metal acts such as At
The Gates, The Haunted, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer,
Sepultura, Dismember or Unleashed. After recording their
first MCD, “Captive In The Room Of The Conspirator”, at
Berlin’s Headquarter Studios in spring 2000 the band became
an active European touring entity, sharing the stage with
their idols, bands like Earth Crisis More...
