If Steven Tyler had written this song, then I would have to defer to Aerosmith's heavy-handed rock sound, HOWEVER, Diane Warren wrote this song, and she has written songs sung by many country artists, including Sara Evans and Reba McEntire. I have a feeling Mark's version would be more like what she had in mind instead of Aerosmith's. Mark sings it backed up with an orchestra and it is truly romantic. Numerous artists have recorded it; there's plenty of room for everyone. If you want to hear this song sung by an angel, listen to Jackie Evancho's version sometime!

I heard this song for the first time coming home from a long journey to Texas, and yes, I am a Christian, and yes I am a Lutheran, and setting all deep theology aside, believing that we can do NOTHING to separate us from the love of God, this song hits it on the head. Gotta love it...because God first loved us...
