Fun-loving 23-year-old hairdresser Marcus Collins from Liverpool was tipped to be a possible winner of this year's The X Factor at his audition, by head judge Gary Barlow.
Tulisa responded to his rendition of Stevie Wonder's Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours at the Liverpool auditions by exclaiming: "you literally owned the stage, loved it!"
Marcus was thrilled to receive three big yeses from the judging panel and a "hell yes" from Kelly Rowland, sending him firmly off to X Factor Boot Camp.
The cheeky Liverpudlian revealed how he got a huge buzz from auditioning in his home town, as auditions moved to Liverpool for the first time in the show's eight year history.
X Factor returner Marcus auditioned for the show last year but was unfortunately not selected - seriously judges what were you thinking?
But lucky for us Marcus fans he claims he is back and ready to fight for it this time round, having worked heavily on his singing the past year.
efore The X Factor Marcus was part of boy band Eton Road. Sound familiar? Well it should do to you X Factor fanatics out there as Eton Road came fifth in the show's third series, in which pop princess Leona Lewis took the crown.
Although Marcus was not in the original line-up he replaced the band's lead singer, indicating to us we should expect good things from him.
The hairdresser sailed through Boot Camp with his song choice Kiss from a Rose by Seal going down a storm with the judges, resulting in Gary sending Marcus to LA for Judges' Houses.
Marcus has been applauded by the judging panel for being one of the loveliest people in the competition, with Gary declaring: "I love the smile and you are such a pleasure to work with."
He obviously proved a hit with Gary and his fellow guest judge Robbie Williams, as he was promoted into Gary's final four, belting out Paloma Faith's We Got Family.
Marcus has since said it was the best day of his life when Garry selected him, whilst he also reveals how he gave Gary and Robbie hairstyling tips in LA -- trying to butter up the judges eh Marcus?
Nonetheless we hope to see a lot more of Marcus and his million dollar smile in the coming weeks, as we agree with Kelly when she said "you look so fine... I love you!" Well we love you too!
