Reviews about Carencro So deceiving! | Reviewer: Mary Badeen | 12/16/2004 I saw this cd at Borders and paid no attention to it. Nice looking white boy on the cover with blue skies in the background. Must be another radio hit wannabe. Then a friend of mine, who knows I like blues (especially with a New Orleans flavor), told me to try it. I trust his opinion, so I went to the listening station at Borders and tried it. The first cut was enough to practically bring me to my knees! Broussard has this very sexy voice that just crawls up your spine and makes you want more. The guitar work is expert and the lyrics are contagious. The perfect opening piece to make you want to buy the cd. So I bought it! It took me a while before I listened to anything but the first song and then, happily, the rest of the tunes vary from good to great. I've been so happy with my new discovery and my friend who reccommended it, gets big points. I've bought it for holiday gifts and now can't wait to see him live. I just love being this wrong about a first impression. He's such a youngster but his soul is ageless and his music is worth more than gold. Thank you, Marc Broussard. Is this review helpful to you?
