------ About the album Brasil performed by Manhattan Transfer

Absolutely one of the BEST albums of progressive pop music of the 20th Century! Brasil is poignant, yet evokes serious emotions of love, questioning authority and freedom. I love this album of them all. The song "The Jungle Pioneer (Viola Violar)", while being sarcastic, is very critical of the deforestation and environmental degradation of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil.
