Reviews about Magazine songs
Post Punk classic | Reviewer: Natalie
------ About the song Shot By Both Sides performed by Magazine
Magazine is easily one of the best bands on planet earth. Their most definitely the most underrated especially in the US. This song is badass and a must hear for any punk or post punk enthusiast. The riff on this song should be enough to make you a believer. "Shot by both sides" one of my favorite songs EVER, period.

------ About the song Permafrost performed by Magazine
this is one of my favorite songs of all time. The combination of the disturbing, ominous lyrics, and the musical soundscapes created by the dark tones and sweeping effects make it really different and eerie. I don't think Devoto actually says, "I will drug you and fuck you", though. If you listen to the original recording, it sound more like "I will drug you in a total [indistinct]...". But the fuck you line fits more with the song, and Devoto's classic creepiness.
