Lynch Mob Biography
Coming from the heart of the heat in Arizona is the new Lynch Mob. Led by guitarist George Lynch, the new band is set to release the new CD "Smoke This." The new line-up is a younger, hungrier band formed around the veteran Lynch. The new Mob is geared to back hum up with enough firepower and proof of this is on the new album.
Formed in 1998, George Lynch set out to put together his dream band. vocalist Kirk Harper and drummer Clancy McCarthy from the band Oil, hailing from Tempe, AZ. McCarthy's rhythm stamp can be found all over the "Smoke This" album; very tribal yet technical. Much of his most impressive marks can be heard on Hollow, Freak Attack, and Chrome Plated.
Kirk Harper's voice is very soulful yet aggressive on all the cuts from the new Mob CD. From having debuted his talents on Oil's Change CD, it is clear to see that Lynch Mob has offered him a natural professional growth.
Bassist Gabe Rozales was recruited to the Lynch Mob from Laguna Beach, Ca. Though he is young, he plays with a fierce style that has shades of Victor Wooten and Stanley Clark. His backbone basslines fuse together with McCarthy's drumming to form the center of the new Lynch Mob.
"Smoke This" is packaged in two different collectible covers containing a 24-page booklet. The next thing on the Lynch Mob agenda is a tour including the full band line-up with the addition of Mark Matson from the band Sipping Soma. Matson will be providing keyboards, sampling and other technical wizardry to recreate much of the "Smoke This" artistry. The band will be launching the 1999 tour soon to support the new CD and to leave their mark on the world of rock n' roll once again!
