Lykke Li Biography
Her mother was a member of the Swedish punk rock band Tant Strul and her father was a member of the reggae band Dag Vag. Her childhood was spent in Stockholm and, later on, her parents relocated to Portugal. Later, Lykke moved back to Sweden and had worked as a dancer on TV shows.
Lykke released her EP Little Bit in 2007. This spread her name in the industry and, soon, she signed a record deal with LL Recordings. With them, she released her debut album Youth Novels. With the European release, the album reached 3rd spot in Sweden, 66th in Ireland and 112nd in the UK. The album was rel
eased in the US in 2008.
The song "Little Bit" was an immediate hit. Additionally, the music video of "I'm Good, I'm Gone" was selected as Music Video of the Week on iTunes in the USA and "Dance, Dance, Dance" was chonsen as the Single of the Week on iTunes in France.
Since then, she has been touring Europe and toured the USA towards the end of 2008. Lykke's tours are programmed to continue in 2009.
