Lydia, when forming in 2003, set their creativity forth to
a path of artistic independence away from any comparisons
to bands in their genre. By combining traditional rock with
dream-like harmonies and reflective choruses, the band
gradually adopted a reputation as a group of young
musicians destined to break through to the mainstream.

But it’s their veteran level of dedication that allowed

finally got this one figured out! | Reviewer: Zach
------ About the song December performed by Lydia

Anonymous,

You're definitely pretty damn close with what this song is about. I've been trying to figure it out for months and it definitely has to do with this tragic relationship surrounded by cocaine; " and never quite the same from a black and white summer.
With photographs that showed our rails and razorblades.
I think it cured my pain, again... " in the beginning they are reminiscing about the times they used to have where the black is the "black" is the extreme negative aspect of their relationship and the white refers to the coke, then in the next line they are referencing the coke again where rails are lines and razorblades.... well you get my point with that.

Then as the song goes on he stops reminiscing about the fun they had and is upset with himself for being persuaded by this girl and in the last lines he is talking about the fact that now that their relationship has completely disintegrated but they both are still addicted to the coke; " It was you, bringing your white company.
Oh, bringing the night, so it seemed.
And we will never sleep again.
So as you walk through the door,
and yell, "I'm never coming back here."
It's over, we are still nothing. "

Its definitely a tragic song but so beautifully written like any other Lydia song. They do such a wonderful job making something so negative sound so beautiful. I'm definitely obsessed with them I listen to them at least once a day... it's an addiction.

------ About the song Always Move Fast performed by Lydia

To me this song is about a girl going though something insanly tramatizing. Like maybe watching her dad and sister die in a car crash. So shed turning to anybody for comfort. And she finds it in a boy. "but your voice" she finds comfort in his voice.
He's telling her through it all "always move fast" meaning
Yes things are going to happen but you can't let it control your life.
And in the middle of the song she is starting to realize that he is right.
And at the end she finally understands. It's okay to be sad. But it can't control you.

------ About the song December performed by Lydia

This song could be about a couple. And the girl is a drug addict and it bothers the boy. But as time goes on he joins her. And he starts blaming her " this I swear I know, it's not the chemicals" he's starting to blame her
And then he must just deal with the fact he is throwing his life away. "let's sleep away December" meaning let's give in and deal with it. Which they do sing ealier
Then he really starts blaming her
" it was you bringing your white company"
Could he meaning white company as some sort of drug? Or am I looking into this toomuch?

But anyway I love Lydia so much.

what i think..high school relationships | Reviewer: troy
------ About the song Always Move Fast performed by Lydia

i think its about a highschool relationship.
boyfriend taking girl home from night out or watever. they are driving in a car and see a crash. decide to take streets vs highway, (its much longer, if you revert to classic highschool days i can totally relate on length of spending time) girl claims far too fast scenery (like looking out of a window)
guy can either be left at the door while she goes inside or they can wait inside the car until the morning. morning worries girl b/c she has to sneak in and father is awake. for the guy its a sea of troubles and an early morning drive away.
catch my drift u can figure out the rest. def some fillers to make it rhyme

------ About the song This Is Twice Now performed by Lydia

I honestly truly enjoy this song. There is something tangled up between the lines that just catches my ears every single time. I have been trying to disect it and find what these lyrics mean, but I think that for each person, they kind of mean something else. Lost love, love gained, or love that has never been found at all. Either way, this song is a definite favorite and always will be.

ok here we go | Reviewer: lugar
------ About the song Always Move Fast performed by Lydia

the song has alot of imagery and metaphors in it. a daughter and a father was in car and got into a car accident. only the daughter died and fatehr survived. Im assuming the father was driving. She is watching the scene as a dead person and it is too much for her to handle, and the father watching it alive agrees as well. And he cannot get over her death and when she says, "Thanks for your time, tonight. But you were not awake" actually means the opposite as in you are not dead yet. She whispers at first that everything is alright but when the father is really devasted and can't move on, she screams, hoping he can hear her saying "always move fast" meaning move on with your life and don't stop.
