i always listen to this song for comfort. i lost my husband last November, and our daughter was just 11 months and the way he loved her i always wonder how she is going to feel when she gets older with other children calling out their dads. The man loved our child to bits. It's just too sad that he had to leave us. He loved us both and waht makes it even worse is knowing that we will never see him again, my baby will never know her father's love, and she doesnt have any memory of him because she was just too young when he died.

I am only 15 years old. Me living in the subs didn't have a lot of soulful music playing around. Even though this is a holiday song, I have to say that I love this song!!!!! It has a timeless person singing so softly and sweet that every time I hear it, it brings back memories of me and my brother last summer having a blast during the hoildays :)

This is the first time I have heard this song and I have to say it made me cry. I lost my father when I was 11. He had a brain Aneurysm while he slept and we found out the next day. After easter Sunday. My mother and Father were divorced before then, but my mom always tells me how he is the only man she ever truly loved. My father was a drug addict, and lost everything, four months before he died, my father was baptized and gave his heart to God, Finally. That was back in April, 2004 I'm 18 now and getting married in a few years, everyday my heart hurts for him but I know one day we will be together again.
I love you Daddy and I miss you more every day.

Luther takes us to Church. I wish God could have let him stay with us a little longer, but it's so obvious He had plans of His own. Can you imagine people sitting around Luther in Heaven. I miss going to his concerts everytime he would tour. I am grateful for the time God gave us the gift of Luther. This along with so many other songs, just takes you to a special place. This is what music is supposed to do. As far as I'm concerned, Luther was the King.

Not going to be much of a lengthy review but here goes.

Simply putting it, Luther speaks like a god here, reason I say this, " Dont let it hurt so bad, dont let it because, everything can be the way that it was." you see we know this but everytime we're stuck on a messy situation especially in our love lives, we seem to take it as if the whole world stops..........................forgeting that, "Most of your life can be the way that it was.", ..Now ...do you see what i mean, Ive only quoted two lines from the song but examine the tons of meaning these two simple, easy lines mean.

Luther V. .............I miss you. and thank you for not allowing me to fall "too far down"
