“I want it with whipped cream on it/Baby, gimme gimme gimme
your love.” “Whipped Cream”

Trying to get a handle on Ludo’s music is a little like
forcing six blind men to describe an elephant having felt
just one side of it. Listen to “Whipped Cream,” the first

------ About the song Topeka performed by Ludo

This song has been stuck in my head for the past week. Some of my friends heard it but I don't think they really listened. I said that I got the impression that it was one friend speaking to another after each of them had found different methods of dealing with troubles. A catalytic converter is a device that converts exhaust emissions in to nontoxic substances, usually found in cars, the singer says that he has found solace in something represented by the car part. Or that he has found solace in, literally, working on cars--Whereas the friend has chosen the less satisfying method of drug use. This may have driven them apart. Despite the paths they walk, the singer respects their history ("Every saint has a past") and doesn't want to abandon his friend ("so you know what keeps me hanging around"). In addition, he is hopeful that they will be able to resume their friendship ("Every sinner has a future"). That the song ends on this line as well emphasizes the potential for reconciliation. Any other ideas?

------ About the song Love Me Dead performed by Ludo

I've been a major fan of Ludo since their breakout album in 2003. After repeatedly listening to "Ludo" and "Broken Bride", I anxiously waited for the "You're Awful, I Love You!" album. This track, is, amazing. It embodies exactly what Ludo is all about- High Paced, Frenetic, Quirky, and Loveable.
