Lucinda Williams Lyrics

After the runaway success of Car Wheels on a Gravel Road,
many thought that Lucinda Williams might never be able to
top herself. Her new album, Essence, is proof that she can.
Eclectic and powerful, filled with edgy tunes that stick in
your head so that you end up humming them all day, Essence
is another classic from the woman who is widely considered
to be one of the best singer/songwriters working today.

Car Wheels led to Lucindas second Grammy, gold
certification, being placed on the top of countless
critic's Top Ten lists, and More...

Reviews about Lucinda Williams songs

Lucinda Williams classic captures Corona-fuelled romance | Reviewer: Jewel Rainbow
------ About the song The Night's Too Long performed by Lucinda Williams

'The Night's Too Long', off Lucinda Williams' classic Rough Trade album perfectly nails the tragic romantic country story song with this classic that evokes the smoky late-night lust'n'loneliness and resilient optimism of the Corona-fuelled honkytonk bar scene with this story about a jaded waitress straight out of an episode of Jerry Springer's Baggage (but written two decades earlier). Genius, girl

ninny | Reviewer: Anonymous
------ About the song Make Me a Pallet on the Floor performed by Lucinda Williams

why don'tcha makeya a pallet on the floor ya'll were the sweetest words I ever heard from my neighborhood ninny when I was just a teen bareley.
mom would throw me out for not abiding the so called rules of curfew. She was the sweetest woman I ever knew and long gone is our ninny. She had a 2 bed. state funded apt. in the projects and put her own roof on the line for a lot of us. She would make coffee and talk all night with us about our disfunctional lives. God rest her soul she should be remembered in song.
