Low Lyrics

C’mon is the shortest title of any Low album, which seems
fitting, as it also ranks among the most succinct and
straightforward entries in their variegated discography.
Singer-guitarist Alan Sparhawk has even perfected the
“elevator pitch” for C’mon: “Recorded in an old church in
Duluth, MN and mixed in an apartment in Hollywood, CA.” But
that brief synopsis hides universes. To get to the heart of
this album, we must delve deeper into both halves of the
creative journey of C’mon.

Review about Low songs

------ About the song Nothing But Heart performed by Low

Its the heart speaking to the mind, the inner child to the lost adult, simply affirming the truth over & over hoping he eventually hears, eternally patient with open arms.

In its rightful place the heart rules, love comes before ANYTHING else but in our society the mind is first place & emotions are repressed, its bass ackwards. This is what makes us feel cut off & alone in a dead world, but since we have free will we can choose whether we want to listen to the heart & return home (prodigal son) or bask in all our 'freedom'.

------ About the song Dragonfly performed by Low

They had their fill of life with its endless cycle of ups and downs. Then they found drugs and discovered they are so much more than what they thought they were. They can see with new eyes, a thousands views at once, transcendent. They can fly above it all at last. But it becomes an escape from their present level & they now accept that they must deal with their agony instead of running from it

Low has an austerity, a nakedness that makes it almost unbearable to listen to when they go to these places
