Scorpions Lovedrive Lyrics

Last updated: 05/18/2007 11:00:00 AM

A girl to drive a car to love
The music rocks me down the motorway
My whore's got wings we're taking off
And I can't stop this flight of speed today

It's a lovedrive on wheels of fire
A lovedrive just one desire love
You drive me crazy babe

It's a lovedrive on wheels of fire
A lovedrive just one desire love
You drive me crazy babe

The city lights of London town
Are far away my hand is on her wing (on her wing)
I stop the car and she gets down
I'd like to show why Scorpions got a sting

It's a lovedrive on wheels of fire
A lovedrive just one desire love
Sweet love, you drive me crazy babe

It's a lovedrive on wheels of fire
A lovedrive just one desire love
Sweet love, you drive me crazy babe

It's a lovedrive on wheels of fire
A lovedrive just one desire love
You drive me crazy babe

It's a lovedrive on wheels of fire
A lovedrive just one desire love
Sweet love, you drive me crazy babe

You drive me crazy babe
You drive me crazy babe
You drive me crazy babe
You drive me crazy baby

It's a lovedrive

Scorpions - Love Drive (EMI -1979) | Reviewer: Jeff | 12/27/2006

Scorpions' early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when "Lovedrive" came out in '79, I think they really came into their own -- commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consimante professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. They've been compared to Led Zepplin, but I think Scorpions possess a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.
In '84, Scorpions released, "Love at First Sting," their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Rock You like a Hurricane", a song so catchy that most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.
