Lounger Lyrics - Dogs Die In Hot Cars

Review The Song (1)

I know nothing
Don't know much
I think my education's
Gone out to lunch

I can't remember
I can't think
what is the difference
Between iron and zinc

I can listen
I can speak
But my conversational skills
Are gobblesegeek

I know Harold
In 1066
Got shot in the eye
With a long pointy stick

Revolutions and World War II
Is it true what they say
That Charles de Gaulle was a hero
And Churchill's a Nero
I threw that away

I get up when I like
Wear anything I like
Don't keep up with the cool
I make up my own rules

Don't have to eat my greens
Or keep my bedroom extra tidy
'Cause nobody is around to tell me off

Now
I can lounge about in my house 'cause lounging abow-ow-ow-ow-out
Is gau-au-au-au-au-ood

I know all
I need to know
Why talk Swahili
If it's where i won't go

Latin is clever
And sexy is French
Sprechen Sie Deutsches
Would hardly make sense

Inquisitions and missionaries
Seem fairly bizarre
Do I follow commandments from Moses
Or battles of roses
I am a Ca-zar

I get up when I like
Wear anything I like
Don't keep up with the cool
I make up my own rules

Don't have to eat my greens
Or keep my bedroom extra tidy
'Cause nobody is around to tell me off

Now
I can lounge about in my house 'cause lounging abow-ow-ow-ow-out
Is gau-au-au-au-au-ood

Revolutions and World War II
Is it true what they say
That Charles de Gaulle was a hero
And Churchill's a Nero
I threw that away

I get up when I like
Wear anything I like
Don't keep up with the cool
I make up my own rules

Don't have to eat my greens
Or keep my bedroom extra tidy
'Cause nobody is around to tell me off

I get up when I like
Wear anything I like
Don't keep up with the cool
I make up my own rules

Don't have to eat my greens
Or keep my bedroom extra tidy
'Cause nobody is around to tell me off

La-la, la-la-la
La-la, la-la-la
La-la, la-la-la
La-la, la-la-la
La-la, la-la-la
La-la, la-la-la
La-la, la-la-la
La-la, la-la-la-lounge

The Understated BEST SONG on the album! Not that I don't love the rest... | Reviewer: Windfoxj | 4/1/2007

I love when I hit my new favorite song.

Lounger is funny, energetic, and above all, catchy. The way it puts the predicament of education in many countries (including America) to light is charming to me, as well as being a nice way for the band to let out the "I can do what I want" immaturity that is inside all of us.

I suppose I just want to speak out for Lounger because it needs to be respected! It is fairly well known, but there wasn't a single review for it on this page. I like I Love You 'Cause I Have To, but it's over-publicized. Come on, put Lounger up as a single on iTunes first!

Anyway, for anyone hoping to buy the album, you could get it just for this song. But with all of the other great tunes, it makes it an even better buy!
