When the Beatles tried to sing cover material, especially Motown, they fell all over themselves: Case in point, "Long Tall Sally". Paul McCartney sounded as though must have drank a quart of moonshine whiskey before he recorded this song. His singing voice is such that you can barely understand a word. It must have been the whiskey doing the singing! It is amazing that this is the same Beatle who wrote and sang the song "Yesterday". What a contrast!
