I'm gonna tell Aunt Mary 'bout Uncle John
he said he had the misery but he got a lot of fun
Baby, yeah now baby
Woo baby, some fun tonight
I saw Uncle John with Long Tall Sally
he saw Aunt Mary comin' and he ducked back in the alley
Oh, baby, yeah now baby
Woo baby, some fun tonight
Well Long Tall Sally
She pretty sweet
She got everything that Uncle John need
Baby, yeah now baby
Woo baby, some fun tonight
Well Long Tall Sally's built trick
She got everything that Uncle John need
Baby, yeah now baby
Woo baby, some fun tonight
Well, we're gonna have some fun tonight
have some fun tonight
Everything's all right
have some fun tonight
have some fun
yeah, yeah, yeah,
Woo we're gonna have some fun tonight
have some fun tonight
Everything's all right
have some fun tonight
Yeah, we'll have some fun
some fun tonight

Review about Long Tall Sally Energy | Reviewer: Andy Macdonald | 12/11/2007
Energy, excitement & passion (whether whiskey induced or not) are always attractive, to me at least. I think a few others liked it when Little Richard did it and again when the Beatles did it. Anyone who can sing this song convincingly is going to entertain! Paul didn't do a bad job at all. PS there is a video of LTS on YouTube - look out for when John drops his guitar pick & retrieves it.
PS - A previous reviewer has betrayed his ignorance by calling this a Motown song! Not all black artists are Motown!
The Beatles were best when they stayed in their own backyard and sang songs that THEY wrote. When the Beatles tried to sing cover material, especially Motown, they fell all over themselves: Case in point, "Long Tall Sally". Paul McCartney sounded as though must have drank a quart of moonshine whiskey before he recorded this song. His singing voice is such that you can barely understand a word. It must have been the whiskey doing the singing! It is amazing that this is the same Beatle who wrote and sang the song "Yesterday". What a contrast!
