Review The Song (25)Print the Lyrics
let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don’t you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feels

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

let it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the end

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

all of my regret
will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now

in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
with these small hours, still remain,
they still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain

Taking time... | Reviewer: James | 7/8/09

There is so much regret a person can accumulate from simply missing opportunities to appreciate the relationships we have with the one's we love.

In the end, these relationships are what matters... as Christ said, "a man's life does not consist of the abundance of his possessions". Songs like this are invaluable reminders of how true this is.

My son's wedding | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/30/09

My son and his wife picked this song for our mother/son dance at their wedding. Neither one of us could stop crying. We both have such fond memories of all the little wonders as he grew to such an amazing young man. The song is on my cell phone and I listen to it everyday. Thanks, Tyler & Faith, I love you both

Fantastic | Reviewer: stretch | 4/3/09

I couldn't stop listening to this song over and over at the end of the movie Meet the Robinsons. I bought the movie for my girls and the song took me over. I realized again how short our time is and how we have to embrace the little wonders and our short hours that we have in our life. In the end it is always the heart that matters...

Uplifting | Reviewer: D | 12/11/08

This is an uplifting song! I have been feeling bitter and constantly obsessed about something these couple of years that I know has already happened and I can not change in my life. Towards the end of the movie Meet The Robinsons, I heard this song and suddenly everything in my life made sense and became more clear! Often times, things happen for a reason, it's there for us to learn, tho at that moment we may not realize until later when we actually see the bigger picture of things. Which makes sense, in the movie the kid travels into the "future" and got a new perspective on life. Thx Rob, awesome song!

A Perfect Song | Reviewer: Vince | 12/11/08

This song is on my iPod to remind me of a beautiful, perfect day in the pool one summer with my 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son. The sun was shining, my work was all done for the day, and there was nothing but me,my family, and this song playing on the radio in the background. Something that will stay with me forever, indeed.

Great song and a great movie! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/24/08

I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old at home. We have family movie night each week (which I highly recommend if you don't already do it), and we have watched Meet The Robinson's twice over the past couple of years. This past Friday was the second time that we watched it - this song hit me so hard at the end of the movie as I was sitting there snuggled up with my children on the couch. Life is short, and these small hours are so important to live with an eternal perspective and to love our families. My children are growing up so fast right before my eyes, and this song will always bring back the image of a peaceful Friday Family Movie Night when everything was right with the world (at least in our small corner of the world all together as a family at home in 2008). Great song and a great movie!

Germany & Meet The Robinsons | Reviewer: jorge | 7/16/08

I was in Germany recently on vacation and I sat down to watch this movie with my 2 sons and niece. As sat there watching the movie and ending it hit me that my kids ( these little wonders) are growing up fast and time is passing me by not enjoying them and that these small hours of my life where they want me to be apart of there lives is passing me by. I know better now.....thanks....Rob

Timing is Everything | Reviewer: dennis c. | 4/4/08

Made a decision to get married have a baby and work in another state 4 yrs. ago. My wife and baby boy Robbie 3 & 1/2 yrs. old are home and I miss them all week. I drive home every weekend and what gets me through the week is remembering these small hours when i'm home. All my regrets have fallen away for making the move 4 yrs. ago because in 3 months I will be retiring to be with them for good. This song makes me feel it was all worth it! My son absolutely loves "Meet the Robinson's" and when it gets to the end of the movie and this song comes on I have to play this song at least 5x's before he goes to bed. As a musician myself and written songs when my son hears a song he likes he always wants me to turn it up, THIS SONG WAS AT THE TOP!
I could not have asked for a better song for my retirement.
Thanks Rob

I love this song and now it has so much meaning in my life. Last year I was told I would never have children naturally. I got pregnant 6 months later and lost the baby to a tubal pregnancy. I also lost my left tube and was worried that it would be very hard for me to coneive with only a right tube that was also damaged. Well, I ended up conceiving again 3 weeks later. In two weeks I'll find out if this baby made it out of my right tube. Isn't God wonderful!

child with autism | Reviewer: camilla | 1/4/08

I think this song is about realizing that the present time is what matters. The day to day - these small hours. I believe it is about accepting something that is bigger than you and learning to feel good again. In my case, the hardest part is over. My child has autism. How I feel living day to day with her is what matters. Choosing/recognizing that the heart is all that really matters.
