Nirvana Lithium Lyrics

Last updated: 10/22/2014 06:38:52 PM

I'm so happy. Cause today I found my friends.
They're in my head. I'm so ugly. But that's ok.
'Cause so are you. We've broke our mirrors.
Sunday morning. Is everyday for all I care.
And I'm not scared. Light my candles. In a daze cause I've found god.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah.....

I'm so lonely. And that's ok. (alt: 'cause today )
I shaved my head. And I'm not sad, and just maybe
I'm to blame for all I've heard. And I'm not sure.
I'm so excited. I can't wait to meet you there.
And I don't care. I'm so horny. But that's ok. My will is good.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.....

I like it. I'm not gonna crack.
I miss you. I'm not gonna crack.
I love you.I'm not gonna crack.
I killed you. I'm not gonna crack. (x2)

The song is about kurt's bipolarism and its experience towards it, to the guy who wandered why the song was named lithium, it is because lithium is a medication he had to use in order to control his "illness"

one of my favourite nirvana songs | Reviewer: roos | 4/14/14

I love nirvana and I love Kurt Cobain, many girls these days wear nirvana shirts or claim to like it and only know one sing or discribe Kurt as the 'drugaddict who shot himself' so I understand why a lot of people conplain about teens who 'like' nirvana these days. But I'm 15 year old and I listen to a lot of rock music and grunt (or however you write that) and some other styles. And I know most of the nirvana songs from my head. I love them for their music it's just so pure and real while lots of music right now is just a kind of random. I don't think all bands now don't have meanings but I think a kot of them do. It's music but it doesn't have that deeper meaning when you read between the lines and that makes me kinda sad... (sorry for my English, I'm Dutch and have dyslexia)

Lithium title song is for ? | Reviewer: Yorkshire County | 12/1/13

I wonder. "Lithium" being used as the title to this song, what is the connection, or intent, of naming this tune "Lithium" ??
Does Curt "miss" Lithium ?? does he need Lithium to "not crack"?

Awesome | Reviewer: RHCP | 11/13/13

Lachue do you wanna marry me?! I'm 15 too and I'm a girl, so if you're a girl too, however, I don't matter, I would get lesbian.

so about the song:
I love this spirit. and i can't stop thinking how we had could save Kurt Cobain.. I don't love Kurt Cobain because he was good looking or something else, I love Kurt Cobain because of his music and talent, and not like all those dumb Teenagers do adore somebody who is making this music which a lot of girls listen to in my age.
1991 is the worst year ever. Cobain died and Justin Bieber were born. Well it must be true, like Kurt Cobain sprayed on a wall and got arrested: god is gay and unfair too. (;

Tan Fastic in a dyslexic kinda way... absolutely love Nirvana. Had the luxury of seeing there last Canadian date in Van-City. Half unplugged and half, MAYHEM! Purrrrrrrr...AKA, Meooow........ Looking forward to meeting Kurt in heaven...

Amazing | Reviewer: Lachue | 8/13/13

Nirvana is amazing, so much emotion and that's what you don't see today, nirvana was real music but now it's just not music anymore, modern music has lost the meaning if music, I am 15 and I love nirvana, I so take so much to to appreciate it, I am even playing Breed for a school thing, I don't care if that's not a good song to be playing at a private school. Nirvana is amazing and it STILL rules TODAY, RIP Kurt, you will live forever.

Abstract Art | Reviewer: Dr. Albert Hofmann | 8/13/13

Thankfully I didn't even get to the reviews drowned out by the people who get Nirvana but I just want to point out that there are artistic styles to music as any art form. Kurt's lyrics were obviously abstract poetry. Just like some cant discern an abstract painting from their toilet bowl after a food positioned bowel movement some cant discern Kurt's abstract lyrics from their mindless rankings on the Internet.

Abstract art is more interesting because its dynamic and layered with meaning and can take on new meaning for the listener (in the case of music). There is really no convincing those with static one dimensional minds (well maybe LSD is a start) but if you think it's random meaningless crazy talk then attempt your own song lyrics and post here. That would be interesting but I won't be holding my breath.

SHUSH!!! | Reviewer: Michelle | 7/14/13

screw reviews, just listen to the song if you love it, if you don't? then don't listen to it, that's the problem with this world today, everyone is so damn judgmental! always got to put there 2 cents in. try to psychologically analyze shit and make it into something it isn't..just like the beatles when you played one of the songs backwards you would hear " paul is dead" and like mothers blaming judas priest and ozzy for their children killing listen.. he was a successful artist at the time, when grunge was in. unfortunately at the time so was heroin. Now everyone is into oxycontin. drugs got a grip on him, and now sadly he is gone. So let the man rest in peace and shut up negative people!!

The Man who sold the world | Reviewer: Polly | 6/13/13

It is really sad that people in the current generation don't listen, understand and even try to interpret Nirvana songs. They only know about 'Ass like that's and 'Baby's.they only want to know about something good that happened. They don't want to know the actual way of life and emotions people feel. This song is relevant anytime and anywhere. They call these type of songs as 'evergreen' and they call the composers as 'legends'. Instead of talking about them let's just show them some respect and be grateful for the wonderful songs they wrote and composed.

just an opinion. | Reviewer: noctu | 5/26/13

I just read some comments below and i just wanna say... this shadow guy... i'm sorry but i must say you're a no-life arrogant basterd. Maybe you think this is based on nothing but i really think you are the one who needs help... and i think all the comments you made are pretty ironic xd by laughing about "crazy people" you show everyone you're the crazy one. But, all the bullshit aside, i love this song, it's amazing i don't care what it's really about because i interperate it on my own way and i wish we could all just do that since giving our opinions about stuff makes some idiots feel insulted. I apologise for my bad english. Noctu out. Xd

this really \m/ | Reviewer: nirvanagirl | 5/22/13

well, for me this song really strikes me and i don't know why. i just feel this hard. damn! they're all great. they really love music and they got it all. it's not the sounds that sometimes others didn't like to hear coz its too noisy for them but when you try to put yourself into it you just realize how they felt about the music they've made. you can feel the saddest part of their emotions well. i can feel kurt cobain PAIN dying inside. And maybe just listen carefully, feel the rhythm of the music, take time. we'll sure do love the music that fits our emotions and feelings. yeah.sorry for my bad english.

amazing | Reviewer: spg | 10/21/12

These guys were about the best ever at writing catchy pop songs. The hooks, melodies and feel of their songs totally outweigh whatever in the world they were singing about. They could have written all they're songs about breakfast cereal spam or anything and the rest of the music would have made it a hit anyway cause of the intensity and feel n what they played and sung. Kurt was a master are creating music period. Like a Beethoven -mozart or pop music. Incredible loss

This, repartae is what people want. People get sad and lonely and do and say things that may or may not harm others. It is up to onself to allow insignificant people to ruin ones day, or to just brush it off and allow them to think they are the bigger person when clearly, they are not.
Im not trying to 'hate' on anyone. Or defend anyone for the matter.

Epic song!
:D love every single part of it, although I wish I could have met Kurt. I'd personally would like to thank him for all of his kickass music, and how Nirvana was at its tipping point when he passed away..sure wished he were still here.

for someone who is qualified in psychology, l love how you spell pshycologist.
I thought a pshycologist was someone who set up pshing sites to rip peeps off. Kurt would have loved that one!!
Peace dude.
