Lisa "Left Eye" lopes was born on May 27, 1971 and passed away on April 25, 2002. Her home town was in Phili and she died in a car accident. They believe that she died because she didn't have a seat belt on. On the right of her head she has an extremly large gash taking up half her forehead.
Lisa Lopes’ outspokenness is partly what endears her to her fans and makes her one of the more interesting personalities in pop music. Her debut solo album Supernova is born of that same outspoken nature (refer public challenge Lisa issued to TLC mates Chilli and T-Boz to release solo albums to show who the most talented of the three would be ) which makes up the album’s most entertaining listening. Left Eye calls a spade a spade on ‘I Believe in Me’, a track on which she vents that the trio’s success had plenty (bordering on all) to do with her, summed up beautifully in one line ‘…I play with the team but I am Diana Ross and not a Supreme…’ Several allusions to the group’s politics are also found on tracks ‘Hot! ‘And ‘Let Me Live’.
Supernova’s other admirable quality is the way Lisa touches on religion – not a typically TLC topic, on the existentialist ‘Universal Quest’ aptly featuring Canadian Trip-hop singer Esthero. Rags to Riches, Lisa’s tale of exactly that featuring her on-again, off-again NFL star fiance Andre Rison, the cut-and-paste contrived ‘Untouchable’ – a Tupac track featuring Lisa, cheesy pseudo-philosophical tracks like ‘Life Is Like A Park’ featuring Carl Thomas or ‘Head To The Sky’ featuring her protégé group Blaque and the rather-should-have-been-left-in-the-editing-suite lead single ‘Block party’ are what keep Supernova from rising from average to a good rating.
The burning question then remains does Lisa succeed in holding her own as per the much-publicised dare? That all depends on what she was trying to prove. Left Eye (and her boyfriend for that matter) will probably never earn the highly coveted five mic Source rating for lyrical skill. And seeing as she was TLC’s in-house rapper the other two are sometimes missed. While Supernova makes Lisa’s claim to being the impetus behind TLC believable, she would have to use a different formula to put her at par with one of the biggest-selling girl groups of all time. omg. she is my idol. when she passed i cried like she was family. i wish i could of meet her and the rest of the group. that was always my biggest wish. and it will happe when i meet them in heaven. and yes she's that crazy girl from tlc. that we all love and miss.<3

WOW!there is NO other artist like Left Eye.She puts it down agressivly, then comes out and reviels her spiritual side too.very good. :)
