This song is about a relationship that just sort of dies out. Like most relationships you go through. One second, you're walking on air. All's right, and you're totally in love with the person you're with. Then the next, out of the blue, you don't care. He says right in the songs, "I swear, I never meant to let it die. I just don't care about you anymore." The guy isn't a jerk or anything. He's being honest. And the girl? I personally hate her. He says, "it's not fair when you say I didn't try". That means he loved her, but he doesn't now. THat happens a lot, and it doesn't say anything about the relationsip or the people in it. Well, except that they're not meant to be together. it's just another thing, and you should move on. This song holds a lot for me. Not that I've been in a relationship before--not what I mean. This really helped me get through some serious writters block. It's became a huge song for my current book, and I hope that everyone else sees it the way I do. Amazing.
