this song brings me to tears. i am that girl that was begging "him" to stay. & he pushed & pushed until i couldn't take it anymore. extremely depressing. i want so badly to get lost with him. but he would never let me.

amazing guitar skilss for accoustic guitar lovers- His lyrics are very sad and melancholic. I dare to say that he is the most important influence in the Baroque pop genre.

This song is beautiful in so many different ways - the way it appeals to the ear, and the way it appeals to the other senses. It's one of those songs where you could just close your eyes and forget about everything within those 2 minutes and 36 seconds. The beginning opens with a simple strum of the guitar, which is common in Elliotts songs, but then the song takes a turn as it slids into a soothing melody of the strings...and when he starts singing, the entire time, it's like his voice is just pleading with desperation. it's painted with hopelessness, which makes it all the more beautiful.
