Had a dream that you were in
The leather jacket that didn't fit
Until we split in two
Half of you turned into glue
And half of me latched onto you
Under the summer moon
All for a leather jacket
We were so indecisive
We hadn't really thought it through
Cuz we were so in love then
And things like that don't happen
And things like that don't slip away

Just to follow-up on Jeanette's review, this song was actually written by Darren Jessee, the drummer for Ben Folds Five and now front-man for Hotel Lights. He also is an excellent lyricist, though, in his own right.
Tack Piano | Reviewer: Reed | 11/13/2007
This is a beautiful example of the sound of the famous Tack Piano that Ben Folds made by putting brass thumb-tacks on each of the hammers in the piano. It's like a cross between a harpsichord and a child's piano toy. Quite an interesting sound... if only piano companies would take a hint...
The song itself is gorgeous, the tune and the lyrics are both irregular in a way that's both catching an haunting. That this is one of Ben's lesser-known songs is nothing short of criminal.

Ben Folds is the master of the brek-up song, and unconventional love songs. This is one of my favorite B-sides. I especcially love the end when the strings swell just befor they die. If you like this one, you may like "Birds". It has no words, so don't be dissapointed.
