He also is an excellent lyricist, though, in his own right. Tack Piano | Reviewer: Reed | 11/13/2007 This is a beautiful example of the sound of the famous Tack Piano that Ben Folds made by putting brass thumb-tacks on each of the hammers in the piano. It's like a cross between a harpsichord and a child's piano toy. Quite an interesting sound... if only piano companies would take a hint... The song itself is gorgeous, the tune and the lyrics are both irregular in a way that's both catching an haunting. That this is one of Ben's lesser-known songs is nothing short of criminal.
