Layla Lyrics - Eric Clapton

Review The Song (3)

What'll you do when you get lonely
And nobody's waiting by your side?
You've been running and hiding much too long.
You know it's just your foolish pride.

Layla, you've got me on my knees.
Layla, I'm begging, darling please.
Layla, darling won't you ease my worried mind.

I tried to give you consolation
When your old man had let you down.
Like a fool, I fell in love with you,
Turned my whole world upside down.

Let's make the best of the situation
Before I finally go insane.
Please don't say we'll never find a way

This is one o the best rock songs ever written and the guitar rift/intro is one of the best and most recognizable of any song ever written, this is clapton at his brilliant best.

this song is about me LOL! | Reviewer: Layla | 11/27/07

honestly the tune isnt that great. but the lyrics are awesome and i love it cuz it has my name in it! (except i pronounce it "Lie-lah" instead of "Lay-lah") when my BF asked me out he called me and sang part of this song to me on the phone (he's a really good singer, so he didnt ruin the song or anything), and after that he goes, "In other words, do u wanna be my GF?" it was so cute!
