Landslide Lyrics - Dixie Chicks

Review The Song (7)

I took my love and I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well, the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life

Uh uh... uh uh, uh uh

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
Cause I've built my life around you
But time gets bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too
Well

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes bolder
Children get older
And I'm getting older too

Well, I'm getting older too

So take this love and take it down
Yeah, and if you climb a mountain and you turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well, the landslide brought it down

And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well maybe...
Well maybe...
Well maybe...
The landslide'll bring you down

beautiful song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/22/11

I've loved this song as long as I can remember. I'm now 21. I want to state for the record, however, that this was not a fleetwood mac song originally. Before Stevie Nicks was a part of Fleetwood Mac she was a part of Buckingham Nicks. They were the ones to originally do this song. Just a little fun fact for you.

Speak to my heart! | Reviewer: Beloved Boo | 2/18/11

You guys might check Stacey Kent's version. Very pure and heart-warming.

I think the song is so great, cause it speaks to each person's heart. The fear of not knowing what's waiting in life, the feeling of facing life when we are not sure what it would be.

Things in life would change, we can not remain the child inside forever, but hope we can muster enough courage to face it all. Even it would be rain, and storm...

Brilliant cover | Reviewer: Bernard | 9/26/07

Anyone who likes this song should get onto YouTube and check out Tori Amos versions of it.

I was privileged to see her do it live just last week at the Sydney Opera House. Just brillinat... devastating.

Smashing Pumpkins | Reviewer: Josh | 7/19/07

I haven't heard Fleetwood Mac do it, but i do like the Smashing Pumpkins version. Excellent songs. The Dixie Chicks did it justice.

I didn't know this was originally performed by Fleetwood Mac! The original was just as good!
