Lamb of God Lyrics - Marilyn Manson

Review The Song (4)

There was Christ in the metal shell
There was blood on the pavement
The camera will make you God
That's how Jack became sainted

If you die when there's no one watching
Then your ratings drop and you're forgotten
If they kill you on their T.V.
You're a martyr and a Lamb of God
Nothing's going to change
Nothing's going to change the world

There was Lennon in the happy gun
There were words on the pavement
We were looking for the Lamb of God
We were looking for Mark David

If you die when there's no one watching
Then your ratings drop and you're forgotten

You're a martyr and a Lamb of God
Nothing's going to change the world
Nothing's going to change
Nothing's going to change the world
Nothing's going to change the world

It took three days for him to die
So the born again could buy the serial rights
Lamb of God have mercy on us
Lamb of God won't you grant us?

Nothing's going to change the world
Nothing's going to change
Nothing's going to change the world
Nothing's going to change
Nothing's going to change the world
Nothing's going to change
Nothing's going to change the world

If you die when there's no one watching
Then your ratings drop and you're forgotten
If they kill you on their T.V.
You're a martyr and a Lamb of God

Nothing's going to change the world.

lamb of god | Reviewer: Mr Manson | 7/25/12

The lamb of god has sheer pain seething through it. Every croak in his voice is clear to hear.

The song is a realism that the world isn't going to change, it won't recover from the emergence of a media dominated world. It has a tuneful whir to the song while still maintaining the solemn intent of the song.

One of his best softer songs. Ranks up there with greaty big white world and coma white

Behold the LAMB OF GOD that takes away the SIN of the World.
Look to the Lamb of God is a great hymn. Manson is making fun of his god. He does not know the real God Jesus Christ, the real Lamb of God who loves Manson despite of his mockings of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who taketh away the Sin of the world. Praying for his Soul.

marilyn manson is one of theose artist u love or hate and as a BIGfan i have seen him 3 times only and as which i always stated seeing him live in 2009 put me in the state of mind to realise why he is one of my favourite all time greats, he played this song live which WASNT on the set list and i must admit this song has feeling same as all holywood songs its about him being hurt about being blamed for columbine and this puts into perspective tht this song generated by the media pinning the blame on others for the death of others and tht is what makes the song one of his best, true meaning and his true reasons. manson you are my hero

This song is extremely intresting, it's kind of refrencing america, in perticular, linking being a hero with what they see on the television, and how this sort of ignorence will never change.
