The story is about a traveling salesman who one day wakes up to find he's a giant bug. He is completely useless to his family, and "hangs around" in his room day after day. Everything about it is just about perfect - and thanks to the Thom's dual harmony at the end, there are two ways to single along. These lyrics are wrong though. It's wings TWITCH. I dunno how the hell anyone could think he sings "clipped". None of the consonants match up at all.
