Kodou Lyrics - Dir En Grey

Review The Song (20)

The sadness on the face will probably be gone tomorrow
When did my eyes become dead?

What is waiting for me tomorrow as I sing and live without meaning?
Alone in my room as my heartbeat screams
Don't kid yourself and don't fool yourself

I am addicted to the perceived fate
I am alone I linger on to this fate
Don't kid yourself don't wound yourself

The unstoppable rain The unstoppable sound The unstoppable scar
The unstoppable love The unstoppable song...
I can't stop it anymore
I can't handle it anymore

Kill the voice Close your eyes Drown in the darkness Roam around
I won't depend on anyone anymore
Kill the voice Close your eyes Drown in the darkness Roam around
I keep inside me your keen voice...
All in darkness

It's such an irony this sunny bright weather
- Good Morning -.

This is the best song Dir En Grey has EVER done and certainly the best in the whole album. As the first song I heard from Dir En Grey, it gave me a really good intro to Japanese songs. The scream was brilliant!!!!

Please? | Reviewer: Chi | 10/8/08

I want to know what this song means! I hear people saying 'OH it's SOOOOO deeeeeep!' and I wanna know what the lyrics mean, please! ;o;

The first thing I saw from Dir En Grey was their Obscure vid - I know, not the best first impression... >.> But then I heard this song. ♥♥♥

Kodou... my light in the dark | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/22/08

I absolutely love this song. It was recommended to me by a friend of mine... this was the first Japanese song that I ever listened to, but as soon as I heard this I had that heartwarming feeling of OH MY GOD I love this song. This song speaks to me when I am depressed, and it keeps me going no matter what my mood. This song is my light, and I follow it with high spirits. Not so manly. Oh well, when it comes to songs I can be really feminine. I epress my feelings like no other man could, and even though I'm 14 it might not be that big of a deal, but that makes me who I am. Thank you DeG. You are truly the best.

鼓動 is Pain! | Reviewer: Rarirureiro | 6/23/08

This song is definitelly amazing! I daresay the best on Withering to Death. It begins slowly for the first seconds then the hard guitar comes and u think to yourself hell yeah this is great. The lyrics are immortal... It's so painfully truthful. And the clip shows things you immediatelly recognise. The best part comes when the scream echoes - twice... is just genious. One of the best songs ever performed! Excellent job!

Diru | Reviewer: Usagimaru | 1/4/08

I've been totally and helplessly in love with Shinya, from Diru. And while that has nothing to do with this song, I just thought I'd get that out of the way.

While Jesus Christ R'n R has been in my head for the last few months, Kodou somehow worms its way into my thoughts. It's a gorgeous song to begin with, and with Kyo's charsmatic voice, its melodious tone seems to be enhanced tenthfold.

And while yes, Kyo does have that amazing familiarity with heartwrenching us all, male or female, I still love Shinya. =w=

xDD Squeeeee~!! | Reviewer: o____o <33 | 11/21/07

Omfgeeee.
I just got into DEG a couple of weeks ago.
At first, DEG scared me.
I use to not really like them.
I'm a total optimist and, well... songs like this didn't really call to me.
o___o;
But like... totally.
I'm in duckin' love with them!!
And Kodou has to be one of the best songs on the Withering To Death Cd.

Excellent! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/21/07

This song is absolutely outstanding!
The words don't only relate to people but it also teaches you.

example: "Don't kid yourself and don't wound yourself" - meaning don't hurt yourself from falling for a trick, don't kid yourself about it, just let it go.

Kyo is truly a prophet.

Kyo Kills Me <3 | Reviewer: James | 11/18/07

This song is really beautiful. It took me a little while to fully understand it. But then the other night I was just moping to myself about stuff...and I was just like "Oh my god, where's my diru CD! I need to listen to Kodou!" I put it in, and I just finally GOT it. It just fit so perfectly to the way I was feeling...I even went and dug out the lyrics from my CD cases. I just cried and cried. (I know not the manliest thing to do, but w/e) Kyo just KILLS me sometimes...but it's a good thing. He understands human nature and suffering perfectly.
