Kill The King Lyrics - Rainbow

Review The Song (5)

Danger, danger the Queen's about to kill
There's a stranger, stranger and life about to spill
Oh no move me out of harm
I need a spell and a charm
Fly like the wind
I'm no pawn, so be gone, speed on and on
Kill the king
Tear him down

Kill the king, yeah
Strike him down

Power, power it happens every day
Power, devour all along the way
Oh no, move me out of harm
I need a spell and a charm
And fly like the wind
I'm no pawn, so be gone, speed on and on
Kill the king

Treason, treason, the spectre looms again
Treason, reason, the realm is safe and then
Oh no, move away from harm
I need a spell and a charm
Fly like the rainbow
I'm no pawn, so be gone, speed on and on

Kill the king
Tear him down
Kill the king, yeah
Got to take his crown

Kill the king
He'll rule no more
Strike him dead
The people roar

Kill the king, yeah
Take his head
Down, down, down, down
Oh, kill
Oh, kill
Oh, oh

Sorry, but the credit says Dave Mustaine is the songwriter, don't think so. I think Megadeth has a song call Kill the King as well but he certainly did not write this one. This is one of my favourite metal songs of all time, and I agree with Scot that Rainbow was an awesome band and Blackmore is easily one of the greatest guitarist ever, lots of guys owe one to him for some of the shit he pioneered. Also agree that the lineup he listed was probably the best one Rainbow had. As for the debate on the best bassist, my vote is for Steve Harris and Geezer Butler, I have a hard time deciding between the two.

He's just a bass player! | Reviewer: Brian H. | 3/1/11

MetalGod, I do think Daisley has a nice funkiness to his sound. Granted, Geddy is my fave but I'd say that John Taylor (Duran Duran) is not the BEST bass player in the world, but I still always kinda liked his sound. What I'm getting at is that Mr. Daisley doesn't have to play like Chris Squire to be a competent contributor to a well known band. Plus, I think you were rather harsh on Scot. Again, this is (as Dennis Miller used to say before he lost his edge) just my opinion... I could be wrong.

Your kidding right kid? | Reviewer: TheMETALGod! | 1/13/11

Scot your a complete fuckin' idiot with NO real talent or value whatsoever, if you cant even rip off a scab player like Bob Daisley than just go stock shelves for minimum wage and scratch your ass and while your at it GO listen to some REAL bassists that had some fame, notoriety and talent like Phil Lynott, Geddy Lee, Geezer Butler, Steve Harris, Marcus Grosskopf and Roger Glover!

Badass Song | Reviewer: Boyd | 3/10/07

Totally kickass song. The chess inspired lyrics were pretty fun. The other guy who posted seems like a little bit of a fanboy.

Arguably the greatest band ever (next to Deep Purple), jesus christ these guys are fucking AMAZING. Kill the King gets me so fuckin pumped when I listen to it its not even funny. I sit here playing my bass bustin out the Blackmore riffs (Bob Daisley was a solid bassist, but i'm not solid, i'm awesome so I play the Blackmore riffs). Anyone who says Ritchie Blackmore isn't the greatest guitarist of all time is an asshole who doesn't know SHIT. Even today in his renissaince band Blackmore's Night he could fuckin PWN anyone. Page, Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, Malmsteen, Vai, Satriani, Moore, Gilbert, Iommi, Van Gaylen, Becker, NONE OF THEM CAN TOUCH HIM. The only one even remotely close is Dixie Dregs guitarist Steve Morse and none of the assholes I listed before can touch him either. There is no such thing as a bad Rainbow song, or a bad Rainbow lineup. Ritchie, Dio, Daisley, Powell and I think Airey was the best lineup, but I'm not saying the shit they did with Joe Lynn Turner and Graham Bonnett wasn't good because it rocked. Fuck you asshole sluts if you hate Rainbow or Blackmore, your a bunch of cocksucking fags.
