Karen Clark-Sheard is one of the premiere vocalists of our time. As a member of the legendary Clark Sisters and daughter of gospel pioneer Dr. Mattie Moss-Clark, she has carved her niche in the gospel music industry as an untouchable songstress.

Karen's powerful, anointed soprano – complete with those singularly stylized multi-textured runs, has often been imitated, but never duplicated. She has provided lead vocals on such classics as "Hallelujah," "Endow Me," "Take Me Higher," and "Praying Spirit." Her musical ministry has given inspiration to legions of followers, including recording artists Kenny Lattimore, Faith Evans, Mariah Carey, Nancey Jackson, Kelly Price and Kim Burrell.

In addition to her musical career, Karen Clark-Sheard has established a more important ministry as a traveling evangelist, going across the world to deliver the word of God. While at home in Detroit, she is the first lady of Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God In Christ, where her husband, Superintendent J. Drew Sheard, presides as pastor. She heads the Annual Women's Conference and is the CEO/founder of KCS Ministries. She is also the mother of two musically talented children, Kierra, whom we met singing with her mother on "The Will of God," from Karen's solo debut "Finally, Karen," and John Jr.

"Finally Karen," presented her musical maturation and her ability to stand alone. Although she included R&B flavored songs, hip-hop and smooth ballads, in both contemporary and traditional settings, she never altered her messages about God. The project, which has sold more than 300,000 units, was nominated for a Grammy Award and 9 Stellar Awards. She won 4 Stellars, plus the prestigious Lady of Soul Award at the annual Soul Train Awards Ceremony.

I have all of Karen Clark Sheard's cds. I have never been disappointed by any of them. She is very innovative and definitely anointed by God. When I listen to her deliver a song I always get the message in full. Even her strong contemporary music is potent with a strong message of Jesus Christ. Her demeanor is one a quiet still person and then she hits the stage and you wonder is that the same woman I just saw sitting there. Then you realize it is because she is so full of God's power, anointing and His perfect gifting. She is an excellent psalmist!!!!!

To hear the voice of Karen Clark Sheard is one the greatest things a person can witness, to me it is like getting a chance to meet a very prominent person. I was blessed to have heard God's voice and still continue to hear God's voice from one of God's chosen and annoited ones who allows God to use her to the fullest. I believe that Karen is a good example of how God can and will use you if you submit your will to do God's will. I was raised in the C.O.G.I.C and was blessed to have witnessed mother Mattie Moss Clark and all of the Clark sisters and i am so ever grateful that God allowed me the oppurtunity to have winessed to hear them in person in many, many Convocations in the past. The Clark sisters gave me a reason to listen to gospel music and today i love and appreciate traditional gospel music. I pray God's forever blessing upon all of you talented sisters and i hope and pray that i may get another oppurtunity of hearing you all again in person, in this life. Luv you dearly!

I just love to listen to karen, her daughter, her sisters,but especially karen. She up lifts me like no over songtress can, I clean my house and listen to her and end up in a full on praise. How amazingly blessed she is. I also am a singer and her runs give me a vocal work out. I just love her!!!

YO I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE ARE SO SHOCKED BY KAREN. SHE WAS BIRTH WITH THIS MINISRY.SHE WHAT IT MEANS TO TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO. I LOVE KARENS PERSONA AND I LOVE KARENS MINISRTY.
