The Epica album is based on Goethe's story about Faust and this song imo represents his thirst for knowledge. Go read something about this and Black Halo album. But I'm still amazed at how little popularity this band has. It deserves much, MUCH more. They actually produce emotive, artistic and creative stuff, unlike some other bands. It's very deep and introspective. It seems everybody and anybody is touched by this song. Their albums Epica and Teh Black Halo both have amazing stories on how to live your life, how not to waste the moment. The plotlines are amazing, showing the pitfalls of life and death but also the spectacular moments you share with everyone. The tunes- how is it possible to think such masterpieces up?! I love the way the band uses metal, yet it has the softer side through the lyrics- its gold! Wonderful Band, Wonderful Song | Reviewer: Kallisto ------ About the song Wings Of Despair performed by Kamelot Kamelot is a brilliant band. The vocals were down right beautiful, even live and sometimes bands aren't good as live as they are recorded. Kamelot's songs were beautifully sung and played and I have yet to come across a song I didn't like. Wings of Despair is such a wonderful song, but so are the rest. The Black Halo and Ghost Opera are what they are known for the most, sometimes but Karma and the Fourth Legacy are just as amazing. The fact no many know this band, where I live, is a sad fact! It's not often you come across such a beautiful male vocal; I'm not saying all male vocalists are bad, but they just can't match the smooth and yet dark voice of Khan. Casey Grillo is a mastermind at the drums and is one of the best drummers I have ever seen in modern times. The rest of the band is down right amazing as well. Out of all the bands I've come across (including Nightwish, Firewind, Hammerfall & more) Kamelot has to be my second favorite... second only to Nightwish but I found Nightwish months before Kamelot. (Granted it's hard to compare bands when one has a female singer and one a male). Spread the word about this band. They are amazing and now I can't imagine a day without listening to their music!
