There's a light from afar
Like some distant star
It doesn't really matter where you are
One man was happy
One lived in sorrow
Overseer said they'll meet tomorrow
One man was wealthy
One had to borrow
Overseer said they'll meet tomorrow
There's a light from afar
Like some distant star
It doesn't really matter where you are
It's just the same
Moon's silver face
Dark shadows on the wall
Light playing games as evening falls
And when the sunshine
Can't warm your heart again
Soar with the starlight on the evening wind
There's a light from afar
Like some distant star
It doesn't really matter where you are
There's a way
Even though your heart is broken
Now by the close
Of one door
Another opens
Leave your heat wide open
The door will open
There's a light from afar
Like some distant star
It doesn't matter where you are
It's just the same
It's just the same
It's just the same
It's just the same
After the Starship debacle in Lorelai, Craig asked me who I would like to sing our song. I said, "Micky Thomas". It happenned. Bill Thompsen likes to take credit but he was only a thief. Hey Bill-where are my foreign royalties? You stole from me and everyone else you could. Bill-if you are listening- I have documents you signed stating you would take 10% of my foreign royalties for collecting them. You have never given me a dime. You are a slime bag and if I ever saee you I will beat the crap out of you.
My mom was the lead singer in a band called 'Thriller' and this song was writen by Erik and Robyn Van Soest, who were also in the band way back in the early 80's! I haven't heard it since those days.
