------ About the song Annie’s Song performed by John Denver

I had the pleasure of growing up listening to his songs on record and eight track. His work and musical stories have been so inspiring over the years. His work with the environment was above all the rest. May he rest in peace high in the rocky mountains.

------ About the song Country Roads performed by John Denver

Wherever Country music will be played, this song will always be a hit. The best thing about country music is that the older it gets the best it becomes. It is just vintage; it matures with time. Mr Denver, this is an all time great. The song is just natural, and country.

A country boy

------ About the song Country Roads performed by John Denver

I remember my father when I was younger playing this song, my mother singing along with him. This kind of country music will never die.My father has always played the guitar and we always enjoyed his songs, expecially by John Denver. He has been a true inspiration to my father and I hope my dad one day can show his talent to the world so everyone can enjoy it the way my family has=)

------ About the song Perhaps Love performed by John Denver

i heard that when john denver was recording this with placido domingo, he got advice from him about how sing a song, that you need to feel the lyrics, the music and that you need to convey that when you sing it. it changed john denver, he realized that placido was right, by doing this it changed the music, made it more personal, it reaches more people, gives them a personally connection. i think that is why many of his later music is so haunting and memorable and perhaps his best, one of my favourites is fly for me - about the shuttle tragedy.

------ About the song Season Suite: Summer, Fall, Winter, Late Winter, Early Spring, Spring performed by John Denver

As a "boomer", I grew up with John Denver and especially identified with his Rocky Mountain High Album (yes! on vinyl). This medley captured the innocence and essence of my spirit, as it relates to nature and the world around me. Indeed, the music is borderline Gospel/Angelic.

John Denver had an uncanny purity and wholesomeness in his music that would grab your attention and hold it and you spellbound. His crystalline voice simply added to the enchanting lyrics of his music and to this day, this medley is one of my favorite pieces of music.

Can you revise this, I think there are a lot of mistake there. Thank you | Reviewer: colette

------ About the song I'm Sorry performed by John Denver

"I'm Sorry"
This song just rips my heart out. We all know the awful sorrow John felt upon his Annie's departure from their life together.
He's singing "I'm sorry" for every STUPID man out there who's ever betrayed the heart of a good woman and wishes he could say "Sorry" so well, ( I'm one) but can't because we don't all have the poetry and pipes of a John Denver to get it said right.
But, he admits, the greatest pain of all is his sickening male selfishness: "More than anything else, I'm _sorry for myself,_ that you're not here with me."
Why can't we men stop it? "You hurt your woman, friend," I think John is saying, "You hurt your SELF." Listen to this song and learn.
John, we hardly knew Ye! For that, I'm sorry too, for living without you.

------ About the song Please Daddy (Don’t Get Drunk This Christmas) performed by John Denver

I like this song. It reminds me of my ex-wife's parents. They used to keep gallons of Dewers under their sink.

I wish it had more verses to build the story more. It could be a lot more fun considering the great American canon of drunk cowboy songs. My favorites are
Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down & Close Up the Honky Tonks.

Good stuff.
