The last biography was complete crap. John Butlers mum is American and his father is Australia, his descendants are traced back to Ireland also. He was born in the USA and moved to Australia around the age of 7. He lived in Pinjarra (small town bout 100kms south of perth) where he attended Pinjarra High. He has an obvious talent for music and began spreading this talent on the streets of Fremantle, particularly in the makrets, where if you are lucky enough to see one of his concerts he will most probably tell you fond stories of these times.

He was discovered at these markets and has since released 4 albums and two Eps.

He currently is Touring Australia on the national Sunrise Over Sea tour with Trio band mates Micheal Barker-drums and Shannon.......

Sunrise Over Sea debuted at Number one on the Australian charts proving that independant records can produce excellent talent, Jarrah Records being the first independant label to have an Artist debut at number one.

John is currently married and just became a father in 2003, to a daughter named Banjo.

He is a talented artist who will go far, recently signing a deal with a US record label.

30/3/06 John Butler's concert in Lisbon the greatest concert ever...a huge show... amazing musics the longest and the best solos I have ever seen...simply the best...made my heart drill of emotion, cry, laught...cannot be said by word.....Peace and love....long live JBT

He also writes songs. Has played clubs in Naples FL and elsewhere. Excellent musician. Ohio, West Virginia background. Dark hair, eyes, father of two grown children. Good health. Good interactive personality. Blends instantly with other musicians, would be a great addition to your group. He's living in Nashville TN now. Irish descent, both sides. I'm his aunt. I sang with him on first meeting him so I know his ability. I come from a musical family, both sides. One is classical, one is current scene. Ive been listening to JBT for about a year or so now and i just want to say that i cannot get enought of sunrise over sea and three! i again cannot wait until a new album comes out!
