    When I first heard this some 40 yrs ago, musically I was never the same. Maybe even mentally. The profound, bold, otherworldlyness of this AvanteGarde, yes AvanteGarde! music would turn the music consciousness upside down, inside out, sonic shapes neverbefore imagined! Sure, it was blues, rock, jazz, etc. But now those genres would be just a starting point for Jimi`s launching pad of never to be duplicated creative invention! And certainley, accolades to the two sidemen(Mitch Mitchel, Noel Redding) who we`re the perfect catalyst for this new palette of improvisation.Ask any of the true pioneers of modern electric/electronic music. They`ll tell of the immensity of Hendrix influence to this day!
