this song was so about michael and I. We were divorced about 3 years, and I called him. He told me after, I called there was a song about us. He passed away this year and I still play this song and remember us. Thank you Joshua.

how cute the story of the lyrics. I see that jessie is his mother who was gone when he was 15(Joshua Kadison). i can feel his loss and how he really missed his mom. i know how he felt to be left by somebody who's been so important to him and more that she is almost a half of his life. maybe by the time he wrote this song, he is still longing for his mother's presence.

He is a pretty man and she is attractive woman. I didn't know it was about SJP when i listelned to it back then...in 90-s. I really like that song and the fact, that it tells the story about two people, trying to find themeselves after a failed relationship. And Sarah Jessica can't be so unsexy after all, if such a handsome men are in love with her..

Joshua Kadison's' Jessie is about Sarah Jessica Parker (carrie in Sex and the city), Joshua and Sarah had a relationship but when they broke up Joshua wrote this song. I think it is a really beautiful song about the powerless position of Joshua who always will keep being attracted by Sarah.

if you never listen to an album yo may have missed out on the end to this song which is gorgia rain it tells all about the love of jessie and him and that some dreams are better from afar baby thats just how things are you have got to have both or you only half of any story not fair but then when is life fair get both then learn the truth.
my fave from him is still mamas arms if you want to cry and have to let out your emotions you have to hear it is about a mama dying and the boy growing up with out her in his life

find it find a real story teller he was the best at it
