------ About the album Lookinf East performed by Jackson Browne

As a musician (guitarist and composer)I'm intrigued when artists aren't afraid to cross genres of musical styles when composing there projects. Although I'm familiar with the "hit songs" Jackson Browne is associated with, the album, "Looking East" blew me away! Blues, country, funk, and even afro caribbean influences blend to create a wonderful ecclectic mix of music. The various influences marry to produce an album that moves the soul with heartfely lyrics, great guitar work, warm vocals and unpredictable arrangements that create a musical journey.
Hearing the album at work through a co-worker in October 2011 for the first time, made me a fan. I'm a jazz, R&B, Gospel and Soul musician, but his music has me reaching back to listen to his other works to see what I've been missing all of these years! Great Stuff!!!!
