When I first heard this song, I didn't get it. I had heard screamo before, but I found screamo of this level off-putting.

It's grown on me. Who knows why I've stuck around long enough to find out -- who know why anyone does? -- but I do truly adore this song as much for that as its lyrics.

It's interesting that the JOJ's lyrics speak to me like they do, even the hallucinogenic 'Cherry Scented' (especially Cherry Scented), but they do. I guess I'm sweet on the outside and dark on the inside (like Lollirot).

In the end, I can understand why others might have "critiqued harshly" this kind of music, but I'm no longer in that crowd either. It's an acquired taste, but once acquired, there's no going back. :P That's where I am now.

Blame songs like Covet for that.

i think it is about 3 peoplea girl that is so far gone she has no veiws. she thinks and does everything the narrorator says and a slip of the tounge "go die" causes the girl to kill herself the third person is a guy who tries to stop it but cant because the 1st girl just aggress with every one..... i used to be the first girl i almost died but instead got sent to norwood

now this is what i mean when i say "id like to hear a sad song" its intense in a way you can feel the persons pain with a great metaphoric description. I loved the message of trying to change for someone but can´t no matter if u r trying.simply strong and sad

to me it sounds like the song is just about one person, but two sides of the person. some lines make me think that the narrator is anorexic and obviously self harms. the anorexia and depression are taking over and she's losing control

Jack Off Jill NEVER covered it. Not "both Genitorturers and them did", no. JOJ never covered the song. It'd be really cool if people could realise this. Listen to the chorus. Why is a guy singing when Jack Off Jill was an all girl band?

I personally love and admire this band, and this is by far one of my favorite songs by them. ALL HAIL JESSICKA FODERA MWAHAHAHA! But seriously I love this band. Their songs all have profound meaning, and I am not surprised really, that they are harshly critiqued by many. Who gives a fuck about those stupid bastards anyway?

Omg I love this song! It kind of reminds me of Joan Jett and The Black Hearts! Were they both aroumd during the same time? Anyway, great song, better than a lot of stuff these days. Five stars out of five! 

Everyone thinks it's between two people. I think differently. I think it's just one person, the narrator, who's talking about herself from outside her perspective. It's like she feels detached from herself, so she talks about herself in the third person.
This is just something I always thought.

With strawberry gashes all over all over ME!
I understood the whole song up to that point it seemes like the simple idea of someone trying to save their friend from self harm and depression until eventually she failed and died.
It could either be that she the friend was just a figment of the imagination and that the whole story was just about the narrator. Or it could be that the friend was so close it felt like every cut she did hurt her as well. Or just that she was so depressed she didn't save her friend she cut herself to.
The poison that runs its course through her confuzzeled me. Maybe the poison was the depression that the singer thought she'd caused. Or it could be drugs or poison used to kill herself.
I guess everyone has their own interpretations of the song.
